Commons 1 Dorm Reviews at Liberty

I loved staying in commons. It was very central and close to everything. The community was awesome and everyone was always very welcoming. Another plus is the new dining hall is now right across from commons 1.

This upcoming school year will be my second year living in Commons 1. It is one of the closest dorms to the academic buildings, library, dining hall, and Vines Center where we have Convocation. The dorm is named Commons 1 because it has a common area on each floor where it is easy to meet new people and make friends. It is also a place to do homework, watch movies, and play games.

Students are friendly. Your experience in terms of culture will be all about your RAs and how willing you are to get yourself involved. My RAs my first year were not that involved in terms of making events happen, but when they did they were fun. Those who got involved in all the events were the ones who had closer friendships etc.

I enjoyed my time living at Commons 1 very much. I loved the cleanliness of the building and the social environment as well. It was a great building to live in. The dorm rooms were very spacious, and everything you needed was provided in the room for you.

Commons 1 provided a great location to classes. The dorm rooms were quiet and the common area was always a fun environment. The co-ed common areas provided a fun experience for meeting new people. RAs were personable and enforced rules as needed. Hall events were common which encouraged community breaks from school.

Love the community, it can be loud depending on if you are close or far from the common areas and depending on your neighbors, but as long as you do not have to deal with Office of Res Life, you will love it

Commons 1 is a great place for freshman students. It is easy for students to move to the common area for work, socializing, or playing games. Although the doors block out a lot of sound it often would not be quiet enough if you needed to heavily focus on schoolwork or sleep.

Commons 1 is in a great location on campus that is very central to the academic buildings. The common areas are a great space to spend time in a meet new people. Often times there are problems with at least one or more of the elevators. There is the added bonus of Commons 1 which is that Dunkin Donuts is on the ground floor. There is nothing much to complain about with Commons 1 except the price but for a first-year student, I would highly recommend.

A peaceful environment to study, bond, and experience the lord. Clean private bathrooms, a personal closet, and lots of natural light! Great area for socializing, would highly recommend. Go Flames, Go Jesus!

I love it! It's an amazing dorm option. You can make friends, study, have fun, concentrate, everything that you need to have a college experience. It's very clean and organized. Useful and enjoyable for any year of attendance.

Commons 1 is the best place I have lived on campus so far. The location is more than ideal, it is a nice building with great accessories. The community is outstanding. I suggest Commons 1 to any student.

Commons 1 is a great location to really get to know your brother dorm, and be able to hang out with others spontaneously. Easy to find a group to have a meal with, or someone who can help you study and finish your homework. Rooms are a nice size and you have multiple lay out options for your furniture.

My commons 1 experience is good. My original roommate moved out and i got the whole room to myself which was nice. It was easy to make friends with the girls on my hall. I liked that guys did not have access to our hall and the safety measures taken in the dorm. My complaints are that the elevators break down pretty often, the wall color is not a pure white like the other commons buildings, the fridge is not built into the wall like the other commons buildings, and in other buildings the door can stay open with a magnet where as commons 1 can not.

Commons 1 is perfect for freshmen as it is close to the Vines Center and the dining hall. It is nice and clean and it also has Dunkin Donuts in the lobby which is really nice. Highly recommend staying in any commons while at Liberty University.

Commons 1 is a hotel like environment. There is a lot of privacy but the only down side is if you have strict RAs and CGLs. It is really close to classes and food. It is the most convenient place to leave on campus but there is on kitchen which is slightly annoying because campus food gets boring fast.

I've lived in the residential commons for a semester. I just got home from winter break and my experience was mostly positive. The biggest areas I think might need work or need to be paid more attention to things like rust in the bathroom. Another thing I think needs to be paid attention to is people not on the commons 1 floor using the booths in the common room which in turn takes up the booths for us on the first floor.

My experience at Commons 1 has been nothing short of great! It has included fire alarms, power outages, and great times with friends in the common area! I love how the building is close to the main part of campus and how it has a Baskin-Robins on the first floor!!

Commons 1 was quiet and very comfortable. I loved the other people on my hall and the common area was awesome. We could even connect game consoles to the TV in the common area which made for awesome game nights!

Commons 1 is located near most of the classroom buildings and not too far away from the main cafeteria. The rooms are cozy with spacious bathrooms. If there ever was something that needed repaired, the maintenance department responded promptly. Commons 1 is a great dormitory!

Overall my experience at Commons 1 has been great. Once I was able to overlook all of the fire drills, power outages and a few other technical issues it has been a great place for my freshman year. Being nearby everything on campus is very convenient when starting out as a new student and learning the campus. I would recommend Commons 1 for any new student considering living on campus a Liberty University.
