Johns Hall Dorm Reviews at Longwood

It's a nice building since it was recently remodeled. The thermostats only go low as 68 degrees. It is a comfortable dorm and there is a trash room on every floor. I love the sunrooms and lounges. I think that the washes and dryer payment should be fixed but overall its a good place to live first year of college.

Johns Hall is very nice and clean. However, each room is a different size and my luck I got the smallest room. But it feels like an apartment, and you feel fancy living there. The laundry isn't the greatest though. Overall, it's pretty decent.

Everyone calls our dorm the 'hotel on campus' and they aren't wrong. Out of all the colleges I toured during high school, Longwood had the absolute best living options! This dorm and all the others are suite style so no hallway bathrooms! The room is spacious and my bed is very comfortable. My only complaint is that the wall paint chips very easy, but getting it covered just takes an email to the housing maintenance people.

Always kept nice and clean. I feel very safe while staying there, especially during COVID-19. The building is nice and quiet. There are many different places to work on work and hangout with friends. The building has a nice kitchen and lounge area.

Johns Hall is a twin dorm building with Curry Hall, located right next to each other. Even though Johns Hall is very big, I assure you it's also very quiet. Unlike other halls, dorm room doors are always shut. No one really talks to each other unless you are already good friends. The space provided on each floor includes a lounge with a mini kitchen and a room to study, the sunroom. They provide more than enough room. This hall is the tallest on campus, so if you like watching sunsets, this is the place to be (if you're on the 5th floor or higher). It is located on the busiest street and cars do roar their engines, but you'll get used to it.

John's Hall is a great place to live. The desk staff is excellent and the RA's are wonderful people and give wonderful help! The hallways and elevators are always super clean and well kept. The trash rooms are never overflowed and are super clean.
