Overall Mertz Hall is pretty good. You become friends with everyone on your floor, and it's in a good spot relative to campus. Although it gets a bad rep, it really isn't too bad. The people make it great, and I mean there are 19 floors, how could it not be fun? more

Campion Hall

It is appalling. There are rats and cockroaches. My dorm literally made it on the news in Chicago because of how bad the management is. We are right a across a train station so it is very loud. Not to mention there was an armed robbery right next to campion. more

Simpson Living-Learning Center

I enjoy that there are no communal bathrooms. Sharing with suitemates can be stressful when there is lack of communication, but it is definitely a cleaner and much more private experience which I prefer. My RA is great and has good personal relationships with everyone on my floor. All of my floor mates are friendly, my only complaint is that they can be quite loud at night. Overall everyone is very friendly and the space is nice and clean. more

Fordham Hall

My experience in Fordham Hall has been really good, there isn't much to complain about. Every dorm has their own kitchen and bathroom. There's plenty of space in the dorm rooms. The hall itself is supper clean and there is staff working 24/7 at the front desk. more

Bellarmine Hall

Bell is conveniently located on the campus to a lot of classes and resources. The only complaint I have about the building is that the building is not really equipped for dealing with the weather outside of the usual Seattle weather. So during the warmer months, it would get extremely humid and hot which leads to the smell being multiplied in intensity. more

San Franciso Hall

San Francisco hall has beautiful curb appeal and heated walkways! However, the inside was a little lackluster. I shared a dorm room with two other students and not only was the space too small for 3 young adults but a lot of things were outdated like the furniture in the dorms and common areas. more

Francis Family Hall

In my opinion, I think that Francis is an okay dorm, a lot of people at Loyola tend to pick this dorm over the others. We have two more dorms off campus, but it is kind of far. I would rate Francis a 6/10 and I also think that Loyola should consider remodeling, especially the bathrooms. I love the flooring, but overall Loyola is an old school that needs tons of remodeling. more

Marquette South Hall

Marquette South is a 5 minute walk from the center of Loyola University Chicago. It is a quiet atmosphere and that staff was really nice. It wasn't as clean as I hope and always had a smell in the hallways. The dorms are very roomy and are like you average dorm style. more

Baumhart Hall

So far it's been really nice. We have our own bathroom per room and if you're lucky to get a roommate who helps out there's nothing to worry about. The halls and shared spaces are really clean and they have a lot of game nights per floor. I really love it here! more

Seattle Hall

Seattle was a very quiet dorm with limited residents. There were two safety badge swipes which made it feel vert secure. There was laundry here but no other shared community spaces to socialize or study. There were limited dorm rooms on the floors which made for a quiet space. more

The Met was the perfect distance from campus. If I needed to rush to class in the morning or to the shuttle, it was no more than a 3-5 minute walk. I always felt extremely safe, thanks to the gated entrance, and loved having pool and hot tub access. more

Messina Hall

Messina Hall was very quiet and tidy. I love how small and quiet the building is. The rooms have enough space for one person but not for two. Fortunately, I had a room to myself and it was more than enough. The bathrooms were also very modern and spacious. It's not too far from campus but in the winter it does seem a century away.. Overall I would dorm here again. more

Santa Clara Hall

The location of Santa Clara is great as it is on the lake and the rooms are great and come provided with a very a functional kitchen. A complaint is the heating system does not work well and it is very hot in warm and cold weather. more

Regis Hall

The private bathrooms were a blessing, but the elevators were disgusting. The front desk workers are amazing though, and no one is ever too loud for you to study. The dorm events are pretty nice as well, and barely anyone is in the common area, so my friends and I would play Mario Kart and watch movies on the TVs all night. more

de Nobili Hall

My experience in de Nobili hall was pretty good overall. The only issues I had were with the cleanliness of my fellow peers and with cleaning services only coming once a week the common areas and bathrooms could get pretty unsanitary. But, this issue was more of a reflection on the students rather than faculty, Resident Assistants did their best to reinforce the values of cleanliness and respect to the property. more

Had a great RA, overall was close to campus, and was WAY better than Campion. However it stinks that there is such a difference in living styles and room sized between the upper class men housing. There shouldn't be such a difference between georgetown and other places. more

Seton Court

I absolutely love living in Seton, located in Loyola's Charleston Gardens. I have been living here with my roommates for 2 years now and it is honestly so peaceful and quiet (I think because it is a substance free housing location). Everything is in walking distance of Seton (Iggy's dining hall, the laundry room, the health center, student life office and the spot to order Uber rides.) You also get a kitchen, common area and your own bathroom to share amongst your roommates. My only critique about seton would be the air conditioning --throughout the year, I had to call maintenance to fix it because it kept blowing hot air :(( Other than that small problem though, Seton is great! more
