Treehouse Residence Hall Dorm Reviews at MassArt

The building often smells like sewage. Recently it’s been smelling really strongly of natural gas and they don’t know why yet. There’s only 3 elevators for 21 floors and right now one of them is broken and shut down. When I first moved in a month ago the laundry room on the third floor was closed for 4 weeks because a pipe burst a few days before everyone moved in and completely destroyed the 3rd and 4th floor. We had to walk our laundry outside and use a different dorms laundry room.

Overall, Treehouse is an awesome dorm! The rooms do feel small, but the suite style is awesome so there are no shared bathrooms. Floor events aren't a huge thing so my floor at least didn't have a super close bond. the common areas are so awesome, though! Both the lounge and the workroom common areas have huge windows looking out over the city and it's honestly incredible. The food is bad, but at least the C-Store is right outside the building, and it's pretty central to both dining halls.

The Treehouse Residence Hall is perfectly located, there's lots of restaurants nearby, the Green Line stops right out front and there are plenty outdoor places to work or relax. In the building there are common areas (such as a kitchen, laundry room or TV area) and workspaces. Inside the individual suites there are two dorm rooms connected by a sink area and bathroom with a shower. Cleaning individual dorms are simple and easy and I haven't seen a mess in a common area since my arrival. The staff is commonly quiet but they're always polite.
