Boone Hall Dorm Reviews at Mercer

Boone can be a clean Hall if everyone does their part. It is a communal bath, so everyone is in there, so as long as you clean up behind yourself everything will be just fine since we also have a janitor who cleans Monday through Friday. Lastly, the rooms are a little small for a two people. It's like a one-person bedroom with two twin xl beds in it. It has two desks and closets w/ a towel hanger and a sink. Due to the small room, my roomie and I are close, and it helped us bond easier.

The hall is quiet. Close to most of the academic buildings. However, the community bathrooms were not cleaned at the weekend. There are only 8 washing machines for 300 students in the building which 2 out of them were broken.

My experience at Boone Hall is definitely something else, the fire alarms go off pretty often during my time here and the rooms are very small, I would recommend definitely someone you get along with to be your roommate as girls here are often catty and just weird.

Overall, probably the best of the old dorms on campus. Issues with the fire alarm going off almost weekly in the middle of the night, causing room evacuations and loss of sleep. Mold and mildew throughout the building. Location, safety and the level of upkeep/maintenance are why I'd recommend it over the other older dorms on campus.
