Garfield Hall Dorm Reviews at Mesa

Really nice and close to everything on campus. There are communal bathrooms but the staff do a great job cleaning them. Upper floors have a kitchen which is very nice to have access to as well. The room sizes are very big compared to what I expected.

Garfield Hall was not only affordable but it’s the best choice for freshman. There’s amazing views of the Mesa, free laundry, a computer lounge, and each floor has their own kitchen. The rooms are fairly big and have great a/c. I loved having the study room right down the hall to keep me focused. Overall Garfield would be a great choice for anyone!

Garfield hall is a good hall considering that it is one of the cheapest options. It is in a nice location on campus, it is close to the rec center, the university center, and several of the class buildings. It is a traditional hall, so there are communal bathrooms and traditional rooms so you will have a roommate. The bathrooms are never crowded or busy which helps a lot with showering. The only problem I have with the bathrooms is that they can get pretty dirty. The university claims to clean them twice a day on the website but they only get cleaned once and they don't typically get cleaned on the weekends so I try to avoid showering on Sundays. There are many open living areas which are nice, they all have a TV and couches, but many of the tv remotes are often missing or the batteries are dead, so finding a working TV can be hard. There are communal kitchens on each floor but the university does not supply any pots, pans, or cooking utensils so if you plan on cooking you have to bring everything you need.

Garfield Hall was a great experience! It is unfortunately right next to where most of the activities are happening on campus in terms of noise, but it's close to activities. Since it's one of the newer dorms on campus it is a bit farther than some of the other dorms, but the campus is small, so that doesn't matter too much. I will say when it comes to maintenance, any dorm at Colorado Mesa takes a while the forms don't always work, and they can be very slow getting to your request.

I love Garfield hall. It is a great place to meet new people, as it is a community style dorm. I loved using the kitchen area to bake treats. Additionally, the dorm is one of the newer ones on campus so it is very nice and modern.

If you're looking for a cheaper dorm option in a traditional setting, this dorm works well. You have a lot of space for storage than a lot of colleges offer. The location is great as you are right next to the university center and a couple of the classroom buildings.
