Blount Towers Dorm Reviews at Morgan

This building is very old and outdated. It’s infested with mice, bugs and mold. The communal bathrooms are disgusting and get no attention. There’s mold in the showers and growing in the Air Conditioning system. The first week here I got sick. The staff are rude, the RA’s are rude and the students are always fighting each other.

I feel it’s the low level of living the elevators are always broke the bathrooms are moldy and nasty especially the shower does not feel like a good area to get cleaned we have no space to store food or cook food at all very hard to survive the provide not much but a public bathroom and a room with very very uncomfortable beds can feel the springs in my back as I sleep .

So far, the experience is not bad. But there are a lot of incidents regarding the bathroom and bugs in the room. If you clean your room often the bugs won't be a problem, and you get used to the bathrooms.

Nothing really bad about it but the communal bathroom and shower situation. Could be cleaner…but otherwise the space is definitely the biggest and you can make it a very fun time. I personally love how close it is to any function the students throw

It was okay but I feel if I make it to be a cozy homey feel ill be better but I do feel it builds alot of character and confidence theres also a lot of connection like hairstylist, makeup artist, waxers, nail artists, and etc in Bloumt Towers as a freshman which I love

Blount Towers was quite an experience. It's not as bad as most people make it out to be, no dorm is going to be like home, but Blount was DIRTY. There were rats, cockroaches, mold, etc. But we had really good cleaning ladies who made the best of our circumstances.

Your dorm experience is what you make it. It also depends on who lives with you. I didn’t have the best experience living here my first year because of the people around me. It wasn’t kept clean, which made it harder for maintenance to keep it clean. It was a freshman dorm, witch meant excited and energetic freshman 24/7.

Should have more security and activities. Should be able to pick room and roommate. More parking should be available. Visitation should be always available. Enforce more cleanliness to students. Maintenance/upgrades should be done.

The bathrooms were filthy. Great environment for networking. I wouldn’t recommend it as far as cleansiness. It was very uncomfortable with the community bathrooms and being around so many people who are dirty.

Blount towers was not the best experience. You could get away with sneaking into the building. The bathrooms were dirty sometimes and there were rats. There was a girl that lived in the janitor closets and stole peoples clothes.

Blount towers was a good place to stay being that you can meet other freshmen there that are just as new as you. It had its negatives about it just like any other dorm for your freshmen year. When it came to the location I liked how the dining hall was right next to it.

Blount Towers was an overall fun experience. The girls are chill, the staff are nice, and Blount Towers hosts activities for all the residents at least three times a month. The only thing to be weary off is the music outside of the building; there were big speakers when I lived their that people used to dance and get rowdy.

my experience wasn't really bad. I good a good size room and nice a roommate until she moved. I ended up having a room to myself which was pretty nice. The only I didn't like was when the mice came in and I couldn't really sleep because I would hear little noises from them in the middle of the night. But the pest control people were really nice and helpful though. Blount Towers was welcoming overall and I had a nice RA so that's good.

Blount was a very nice dorm, the staff were very helpful. They held a lot of events for the girls in the building to keep us active and to give us someone to talk to. My roommates was very nice. The community bathrooms weren’t that bad the staff made sure to keep it clean

Blount towers was okay I feel like i was only okay with it because my roommates were clean but as far as the bathroom shared between 8 girls it was bad. Not because of maintenance but because people were not cleaning after themselves. My RA was great tho her name was Whitney.

Living in Blount Towers wasn’t easy but is truly a Freshman experience you must see through. Blount Towers is where you learn and grow from the highschool and teen mindset and grow into a young adult. There’s no lower class man dorm that is perfect but the friendships and individual growth that comes out of the experience is worth it.

I did not like living in the dorms. Noise level was high. Even though we had posted quiet hours no one followed the rules. Also the bathrooms were nasty. Coming from home and having my own, I could not adjust to sharing with 6 people.

In all honesty, college is what you make it. That’s down to even where you live. When living in Blount Towers, I was on the second floor. Which compared to the other floors, we were the cleanest and quietest floor. I can’t say this for all the floors, but for the second floor if there was an issue the staff would try their hardest to fix issues. Also, Resident Assistant was the best and guided me in my college matriculation. Again, can’t say this for all Resident Assistants. Now the 5th-7th floor are considered the “penthouse.” This is where the most noise, complaints, fights, and theft come from. But like I said before, it is what you make it. A lot of girls connected and built strong relationships from being on the penthouse floor. Since my floor was pretty boring, no one came out to socialize with each other. That’s one thing I wish I could go back and change. Blount can be as fun as you make it!

Blount towers is 8 floors of women. Building is always dirty and stink , building is very very old! Honestly need to knock it down. Pest problem is out of Control, staff does not care and will take years to fix the problem.

Blount Towers wasn't the worst but it wasn't the best either. There were always stink bugs and ladybugs in our rooms and it made me get over my fear of bugs, it was truly that bad. I lived on one of the better floors but a lot of the girls staying there didn't do their best to keep it clean.
