Blount Towers Dorm Reviews at Morgan

Blount was interesting but it deffinetly didnt have the best cleanliness. I'd only recommend it because it's what makes your freshman year interesting. Also there was always someone who does hair, nails, makeup, etc.

If I were to upload more photos I would . My experience at Blount Towers was absolutely horrible . The living conditions were terrible. Loud talking , people yelling down the halls and smoking in the rooms making the fire alarm go off . This is an all female dormitory and there were always boys from the afternoon until after midnight still in the lobby and sometimes in the rooms. This dormitory one has a shopping center across the street which is ABANDONED with on a McDonald open which have been robbed multiple times. Right outside the building of Blount while getting ice cream from the ice cream truck two guys out of nowhere pulled out there guns on each other . This is suppose to be a college campus this school and dormitory is unsafe . Absolutely worst place ever .

My experience at Blount Towers was definitely a unique one. Before moving into my dorm, I have spent six weeks on campus for a summer program and was really excited to move in officially into my dorm and hopefully be friends with my roommate. When I walked in the dorm had a really weird smell the door was very dusty and all it has cement brick like walls that nothing crusty to so it was really hard for it to look homey and less like a jail cell. My roommate was very negative and was always very hostile and angry so it was really hard to get some peace. When I tried to reach out to management to ask him if I could possibly get another roommate, my request was denied immediately. My friend also had the same problem with her roommate as her roommate was also very negative. It gotten to the point where there was a physical altercation and both of them were in trouble. If only management had allowed my friend to move out of a toxic environment it would have never happened. The Management overall is very poor and sometimes unprofessional but they were maybe one or two out of the bunch who are decent and actually cater to our needs as a resident of Blount towers.It definitely had its ups though, we had our own personal ice cream truck right outside of the building every night, Most of the parties were right outside of my dormitory on the weekends, and it had seven floors with 2 to 3 people to each room and someone was always selling something or provided services that someone may need like a hairdresser or a lash tech or a nail technician. Overall I really like the experience because it was very humbling and allowed me to be in an environment that I wasn’t used to I would recommend it only because I was able to make the best of it despite many complications
