Metcalf Hall Dorm Reviews at NC State

Who is on your floor, your suite mates, and roommate will determine how much you enjoy the residence hall. Maintenance is quick and efficient after putting in a work order. The residence hall is also in a convenient spot on campus. I will say that since it is in the most public area of campus it can get loud at night and early in the mornings sometimes. There is also a train that passes by often.

Although the dorms are small, it is a perfect living space for single-occupancy rooms. Its location is my favorite part. It is a 10-minute walk to any main buildings. They do cleanings almost every day from what I have seen.

I was on the top floor so I didn't experience much noise, but my other suitemates were generally quiet. The hall was located centrally in the campus, only a short walk to Talley, Fountain, north campus, and beyond. The rooms were small but easy to clean. The bathroom was clean enough to not raise suspicion.

This is a great dorm, I started at Turlington, but due to COVID I was forced to move here. At first I was not a huge fan, because of the overall size, and speckled floor pattern, but Ive grown to love Metcalf and its unbeatable location.
