The Nest Dorm Reviews at NEIU

The Nest provides close commute to the classes. The dorm creates a great atmosphere for building connections and being accessible to many things. There is a laundry room in each floor and also garbage chutes on every floor as well.

In my experience I did not feel safe at The Nest. There was multiple security issues in my time there, I feel that the safety of the residents was severely undervalued. I did enjoy the room options they had and having the chance to have my own room is rare in university. Overall The Nest is a 3/10

Staying at The Nest was incredibly nice. The major downfall was how far it is from campus. It's not terrible but it's not safe to walk back after night. Other than that, the views were great, the facilities were nice, and the apartment was spacious.

Being at the Nest has helped me gain independence as a college student. The dorm has allowed to me experience what it is like to be an adult and actually take care of everyday life as a grown-up. Being a resident during covid-19 has been challenging but it has offered safety guidelines and amazing social distincing along with fun activites.
