Commonwealth Dorm Reviews at NKU

I definitely recommend living on campus for at least your freshman year, its a great way to meet people. However, these dorms are the opposite of luxury and still pretty expensive. You are better off living in an apt for half the cost with better quality living. This is great for freshman to get the college dorm experience but they aren't very nice and you are living in a shoe box.

I have had a lot of fun at commonwealth! Overall my experience has been really beneficial to me coming out of my shell and being out on my own for the first time, especially during the pandemic where it is hard to meet people.

I am a freshman student who is currently attending George Mason University. I am a first year student and am staying on campus, specifically the Commonwealth for the 2020 Fall Semester. Due to COVID-19 all my classes are online. The Commonwealth is a quite place to study in which is perfect for those who have online classes.

I did not have commonwealth listed as my dorm of choice, however I was still placed there. The trash was rarely emptied, the kitchen was rarely cleaned, and our bathrooms were barely ever actually clean. At one point, the door to our hall stopped locking so pretty much anyone could go in. I believe there were plans to renovate the hall so I really hope they did.
