Dieterich Hall Dorm Reviews at Northwest

My stay at Dieterich was not very pleasant. It felt dirty and unclean every where. Also, once the heating system turned on for winter, it made me incredibly sick, I had to start comminuting from home to campus every day. I had to go through three different antibiotics to get rid of the infection that I had.

Many people had their doors open in Dieterich Hall, at all times (besides quiet hours). Unless, it has been renovated, it just felt old and like it could have used a little bit of loving. Overall, it really wasn't a bad place to spend freshman year!

I enjoyed the social life. It was a messy and dirty on occasion, but overall enjoyed my experience. My RA was extremely helpful and was reasonable in all aspects. Never had an issue with safety or noise.

Cheaper dorm, and worth I think it's worth it. Sometimes it can be not as great, for instance, there being a certain smell to the dorm, but I dont notice it. Location is with other residence halls, and also convenient for a restaraunt.

Dietrich Hall is honestly a pretty nice place to live and all the employees are extremely nice and helpful. The only issues are the cleanliness of some residents and the communal showers but other than those two issues I genuinely enjoy living in Dietrich.

It's very welcoming and allows first year students to meet new people daily. They also are competitive and have a lot of things to get involved with. Like monthly movie nights, or calling each other by different names on certain days to get to known people better or just for a laugh and a bit of fun.
