Scotland House Dorm Reviews at Old Dominion

Scottland was an awesome dorm. The RA was understanding and helped everyone become friends- or at least acquaintances. Unfortunately, we were only there for the Fall semester as we were sent home due to Covid.

Scotland was a very clean dorm, I worked at the front desk there as well, and everyone who greeted me was nice and had positive energy at most times. I will miss rooming in Scotland because there were so many memories made with my friends there. One of, if not the best freshman dorm at Old Dominion University.

I have personally met so many people in my building. Whether that was RA's or regular students. I truly was scared at first but it was quite welcoming and reassuring with the environment. The dorms were extremely clean and well organized. The RA's were quick to respond when needed. I would definitely recommend this dorm to those who want to go to ODU.

Scotland was very clean and did enjoy my experience here. The halls, floors, elevators, and common areas were kept very clean as well. The students in the dorms were always really quiet and I never had any problems with the noise from others rooms. It has the perfect location right in the quad and is very convenient when going to classes, dining halls, broad, and even whitehurt beach.

All the employees were friendly and always willing to help. Really makes a freshman feel welcomed on campus. Laundry is on the first floor like all the other dorms. People that lived in the dorm were in the same situation and wanted to make friends.

Scotland is a great on-campus residence as whole. Right next to the main dining hall, and very close to the center of the campus as well as next to all the class buildings. Has single rooms and community rooms for meeting. Right across from the quad so you can see when activities are going on so you can go join!

I'm a former resident of Scotland. It's a dorm for Freshman students. There's generally 2 to 3 to a room. It's in what's called the quad. It was a lot of fun for me my first year in that dorm. Just remember you are totally responsible for yourself and you have to keep your grades up.

The Scotland dorm is great for freshman dorm because it offers a central point from the campus classes and food near by. It also is close to off campus activities like the movies, gym, or nearby activities for sports

Scotland housing is great location and the staff is friendly! It is the closest to the dining hall which is a plus. The only bad thing would be how slow the elevators are but the stairs are close to my room so it has not been a huge problem.

Had a very good experience in the dorms. Made many good, long term friends and had great relations with our RAs on our floor. The staff was great and I felt very safe here in Scotland. The rooms were very nice and each room had their own bathroom which was a very nice addition.
