My room has ample space and shelving. There is an option to junior loft the bed which adds a good amount of underbed storage space. My room has two windows which is preferred, but many of the rooms only have one. I'm very happy with my double room and feel that both my roommate and I have space for our belongings and for socializing/hosting friends. The dorm also has common areas for socializing including tables and chairs and a pool table, as well as a shared kitchen space with fridge, dishwasher, stove, and microwave. The shared laundry space is sufficient for the size of the dorm and technology allows residents to see when a machine is available or when their laundry is done.
