Adams Center Dorm Reviews at University of Oklahoma

The dorm was not very nice. We had black mold growing in our air vent and they would not clean it out. We did not have community bathrooms, we shared it with our suite-mates. Maintenance rarely came to fix anything.

Adams overall is a safe environment, however these towers are very old and have a known issue with mold. They have talked about replacing these dorms and developing new, this needs to happen soon. There are a large set a brand new dorms not being utilize that could be while developing new dorms for better health of the students.

During my freshman year at Adams Center I have loved experiencing the traditional dorm feel and appreciate that everyone lives in close proximity. That being said, the building itself is rather old so the commodities could definitely use some renovation. Overall, I am happy with the experience I am getting by living in Adams Center.

The air is really wet, and you NEED a dehumidifier. Great location, but have not been updated since it was built in the 60s. The air conditioning isn’t great either, but it’s not terrible. Canes is downstairs which is convenient.

My experience at Adams Center was great! The noisiness depends on the people placed on your hall but everything is super clean and nice. It isn't the nicest dorm at OU, because it is the oldest, but there is a Canes Restaurant on the bottom floor which is super convenient.

I made some of my closest friends here and had a lot of fun going to canes and enjoying the movie room downstairs. I always saw staff cleaning everyday multiple times each day so the dorm is clean. As well, I always felt very safe.
