Calaveras Hall Dorm Reviews at Pacific

I will be living in Calaveras Hall in the fall of 2023. However, I have not lived their yeat, but I have stayed there and done tours. It's a beautiful apartment-style dorm that is very spacious. Each resident has their own room with a main common area for cooking and watching tv.

The dorm is new so everything is cleaned. Most staffs are friendly and try to maintain the dorm. There is a small pool too if anyone wants to swim in the summer or a hot day. However, the Residential Director is very biased and would not help students solve conflict fairly.

Brand new! Everything works so well. My parents said that this was nicer than all of their apartments up until buying a house. Super clean. It's awesome because you have your own room, you share a bathroom with one other person (unless you have a single). You can get a single, double, or quad. I had a quad with a pool view. Downstairs there are huge tables to study and TV's to connect with your computer for movie nights. All the furniture is brand new... Amazing. If I could live here all 4 years of college, I would.

It's been pretty quiet during this semester because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The custodians are cleaning and sanitizing the building and common spaces daily and every dorm has its own kitchen and bathroom which is nice.

The dorm is great but the Resident Director was very unhelpful. She did not help resolve roommate conflict and super bias. Not only that but she also jumped to conclusions and assume the worse in people without listening.
