Winning Hall Dorm Reviews at PUC

I have lived in the dorms since my first year here at Pacific Union College. The staff are a mixture of adults, whom are the Deans, and students, whom are student deans, RA's, and desk workers. I've had the great opportunity in working as part of the front desk staff, which is a great experience. The dean is always available, either over the phone or email, as well as in person. All students have keys to their own dorms which can be locked when we aren't in the rooms.

It's a dorm. Would be better if there were options for smaller, single rooms - instead of being overcharged if you want a room to yourself, because you have no choice but to occupy a large room by yourself. The maintenence is awful, and takes forever to respond. Me, my roommate, and even my suitemate all let them know at the start of the school year (September) that our blinds were broken, and they didn't replace them until March. They didn't even let us know they were coming in - we just came back to the replaced blinds one day. Having shared bathrooms is nice, I would hate to have communal bathrooms. They're just generally dingy and old. People are LOUD. Quiet hour is supposed to be 10pm and I have never seen people respect that. Dean Seibert is nice. Again, it's a dorm. I don't think it's supposed to be some wonderful experience - I already know that colleges just like to suck out every last dollar that they can from students, and give them the bare minimum in return because, of course, we have no choice! We aren't allowed to live off campus, and there isn't much close by to move into anyways! It could be worse though, I guess.

Winning dorm is very welcoming. I stayed at this dorm for 1 year and I absolutely loved it. I would always cook with my friends at the 4th floor kitchen. Winning dorm has the most rooms which is helpful to meet people quickly.
