Alma Gatewood Hall Dorm Reviews at Rochester College

My experience at Alma Gatewood has been great, there are day where I notice flaws and there are day where I love it here. First semester, fall 2020 I shared a room with a friend from high school now in second semester I have my own room. Having your own room can be convenient, especially the extra space but sharing a room was definitely memorable. Advice to anyone who is going to be considering moving on campus is definitely reaching out your soon to be roommate. It will give the ability to know a little about them, you can never be too considerate. With Covid going on campus is definitely not what I expected it to be, there is capacities in each building now, we aren’t allowed to have guessed that do not attend the same institution. I am mentioning this because I do not want to be misleading right now is a extremely difficult time to live on campus and to be quite honest we are very restricted. Everyone in this hall so friendly and nice, they act as if I’ve known them forever. It was very comforting to me when I first moved on campus as a freshman being nervous about not knowing anyone or where anything was. My favorite memory so far has to be the time one of the guys from the basketball team bought a whole bunch of snacks, a projector and put on a movie in the lobby for everyone.

I love it, nice size great campus . Friendly roommates. Easy access to campus close to everything. A lot of food places nearby. Great lobby to chill with friends and just have fun, can have your own room or share
