Brown College Dorm Reviews at Rice

Brown college possesses communal bathrooms in its Tower area for the regular doubles, but the suites in the Tower and the quads have their own bathrooms connecting to it. It can be unusual to share a bathroom with strangers at first (coming from an only child), but soon it becomes a habit and is very nice to live to learn for the college experience. The living space was more spacious than I thought it would be, allowing my roommate and I to live comfortably with two closets and two desks. It was nice to have a choice to loft the bed or not. I was not fond of the cleaners to come onto the floor really early in the morning because of their loud equipment, but it was very efficient and helpful. Finally, I cannot explain how amazing the servery people are. They serve with a smile and are very easy to create a relationship with. Overall, I have loved my experience at Brown and I am excited for the next semester on campus!

Brown College is the second worst residential house at Rice and it really shows. Communal bathrooms are the only option on each floor while almost all of the other residential colleges have private bathrooms in each of their rooms. Also, the rooms themselves are very bad and kind of small. All of the previous statements are about the Tower which all freshmen and most sophomores have to stay in. However, the Quads are much better.
