Brownlee Hall Dorm Reviews at Seton Hill

My experience has been easy and relaxing here in Brownlee Hall. I have made some friends on my floor and the dorm is comfy to relax in. It is in a nice location on campus and because I am a Performing Arts Student, I have to take a shuttle and the shuttle picks me up right in front of the dorm hall, so it makes for an easy transition to get to my classes.

Brownlee Hall was a great experience for my freshmen year. It was very fun I loved the people one my floor. The common area was where we had the most fun watching football, WWE, basketball, or whatever it was it was fun. Brownlee is close to the cafe and classrooms. Its clean when the staff comes in and cleans it everyday but when the students get ahold of it that's when it gets dirty. Brownlee is an experience I will never forget.

Brownlee Hall is very old and needs a lot of renovations. There is no A/C and you need a doctors note too bring your own unit. The building was built in the 1960 and has not seen few if any renovations since then. There are three floors withe two separate wings on each floor. Each wing as 6 bathroom stalls and 4 showers. However only two of the showers actually have a lock the other two just have a curtain. Each floor has a communal kitchen with out dated appliances but most of them work fine. The rooms have two twin beds two desks that are attached to the window wall. The floor space is very limited but the rooms do come with a lot of storage. The rooms are tile floors while the hallways are a old flat carpet ( I highly suggest bringing a rug). The mantaince people are very nice and helpful. If you take your standard idea of a traditional dorm and place it back in the 1960 that is what brown lee hall represents.

My experience with Brownlee so far has been exciting and fun. There are common areas on every floor and those places are where I met most of my college friends the first week of being there. The bathrooms and showers are always clean which I was surprised about because it is a college. Also there are quiet hours that can change that are a rule in the building so even thought it isn't always quiet, there's certain times it would have to be. And even though it isn't the closest to the other buildings, I wouldn't want to be in another dorm.

Brownlee has a warm and welcoming community along with kind residents, friendly staff, and a sense of home. Oftentimes, people will have movies on in the common room, people clean up after themselves, and it's an overall really great experience.
