Naugle Hall Dorm Reviews at Ship

I was on the third floor of Naugle my freshman year and I was always told that I was on the "football floor" since that's where they resided but for the most part, it's quiet. It's only loud on certain weekends when people are coming back from parties late at night.

I really liked my time spent in Naugle Hall. The RA was nice and I was matched with a roommate that became one of my good friends. I found the staff to be helpful, especially in the first weeks when I wasn’t sure where everything was. Overall it was a good experience.

Out of the two dorms that I lived in, Naugle Hall was the best of the two to live in. The location of Naugle was very convenient because it was near the two main dining locations and wasn't too far away from Dauphin, which hosted the majority of my general education classes. Another convenience of Naugle was that it was one of the closer dorms to the largest parking lots on campus. My only issue with dorm life there was that I signed up to be on a Living Learning Community (LLC) floor, but the half of the students living on that floor did not sign up for a LLC.

Naugle was great my freshman year, although depending what floor and area you are at you might just only have a view of the road or water tower. The staff was great, and the rooms were pretty clean. You had room checks once a semester, but they were very quick.

The RA are very involved with interacting with the residents whether it's through zoom, social distanced meetings, or having group chats. The distance from other buildings is very reasonable and the view of the sunset is very beautiful.
