Boland Hall Dorm Reviews at Seton Hall

The washing machines are easy and minimal; the only current problems are the dryers burning some clothes and washer sometimes leaking. The jack-and-jill dorms are clean and leave an ample size of room to host hangouts with friends, or simply enjoy the size. The communal bathrooms are very clean and maintained daily.

Boland hall is in a very convienent locationand is kept up daily with wonderful cleaning staff. Everyone who comes into the building must swipe thier ID or give thier ID to the monitor. Laundry is free and available 24/7! Suites are also available!

- Seton Hall Dorms tend to be tricky to handle. For instance, a large complain lies in entering the dorms themselves as the handles are pretty much old fashioned and you must use the key for everything, including going to the bathroom (inside the dorm) and back. Bathrooms also need improvement. Overall, the dorms are fine but the greatest concern lies in how old fashioned and traditional the dorms are.

Boland Hall was an okay experience. At times I felt like I was locked in a bx, and I wish there were more common areas for the non-suite rooms. The cellar was a good place to hang out, and there should have been more laundry machines

The students are what caused problems for people. Since it is a freshman dorm, and most freshmen become obsessed with anything parties and people, it was always loud, and trash was always everywhere. The staff however is great, always picked up after the students who would make messes, and would be very welcoming and social if given the opportunity. However, Boland Hall has given me many social situations that have aided in me gaining friends that I am still in contact with today.

Overall, Boland Hall was the typical American experience when dorming with the occasional sneak in of friends and trash rooms smelling bad. But, the location was great for all classes and the entrance as ust renovated to look really nice.

The best freshman dorms I could ask for. Always something crazy going on but never did it interfere with my sleeping. The main common area called the pirate celler is a place where I met friends who will last me a life time

My experience at Boland Hall was unique compared to previous years since I lived here during the pandemic. I think Boland Hall is a nice place to live. I lived in a 2-person dorm so we had to use the communal bathrooms. They were always relatively clean and all the dispensers were always full. I felt pretty safe living here, even during the pandemic. The laundry room was probably the worst part as they can be a hassle and sometimes your clothes come back with stains. I think the front desk was pretty secure and the COVID restrictions made me feel safer. Overall, I would recommend Boland Hall.

Overall, my experience living in the Boland Hall dorm was pleasant, but I believe that a different dorm would have been better. The maintenance team was very helpful and pleasant to work with when needed. The security team and policies made me feel safe while residing in the dorm. The common areas provided a close and continent area to meet up with friends. One area to be improved upon would be the communal bathrooms that are used in some sections of the building. The bathrooms' cleaning schedule, which was in the morning, conflicts with when students need to get ready for the day and to go to class. There should be no need to get ready for the day in a different public bathroom due to dorm bathrooms being cleaned.
