Schneider Hall Dorm Reviews at SIU

A bit noisy because of my neighbor being a very toxic relationship so the constant screaming and slamming of the doors made it a little hard to sleep, but we always had popcorn handy. The people above me also liked to arrange furniture at 2am multiple nights in the week but other than that, it was quite nice.

I do not have any complaints for Schneider Hall except that the walls are too thin and you can easily hear your room mate next door. If they have guests and are talking then you are out of luck unfortunately. Also, Schneider Hall frequently has problems with wifi connection.

My experience living at Schneider Hall was amazing. Fall 2020 was my first semester in college and I was happy that I made the choice of staying in Schneider. I have friends within living in the building along with making a great friendship with my RA. I did start my first semester in college during an pandemic but living in this tower that made sure that you still had the college experience. They have hosted many of activities such as every Thursday of October they would have a movie nigh for everyone in the building to watch in the lounge. The towers are a beautiful place to stay for your first year at SIU.

I lived on the study floor, which was supposed to be quiet, but often wasn't. I would have liked students to be held more accountable to quietness. Otherwise, it was fair enough. A bit far from much of the campus, but suitable.

Its been a fun experience I got to meet new people and the staff is amazing. The staff always decorates the downstairs floor. Sometimes we do movie nights we our floor. They are all really friendly people.
