Woodland Hall Dorm Reviews at SIUE

Nice and safe place. Sometimes a little noisy, but it quiets down around 9 pm. Common areas are comfortable and well maintained. The campus is beautiful, and I feel really safe. Food is decent and convenient.

I love Woodland dorm life! I live in a room alone and my suite mate has her own room and we share a bathroom. It has been the best setup for me. The floors are hardwood and easy to maintain. Definitely happy!

Despite living on-campus during COVID, the college experience of living away from home was something I really enjoyed and will do again in the future! I had friends from high school in the same building and met many new people through the dorm's social distancing "get-togethers."

There have been various cleanliness problems, as well as several inconsiderate residents, but overall it is much better living on campus in terms of convenience and work environment, even if the experience could certainly be improved.

I stayed in the dorm as a freshman and I feel that it helped me get accustomed to the college life. Although I felt the room was a little small for two people me and my roommate made it work. The bathroom was a nice size and it had a private toilet area and shower area which I feel was great so that more than one person can use the bathroom. The building was not to loud and it was very clean.

This was the very first dorm that I resided in during my first semester and first year of college. To start off, I really liked the general experience at this dormitory. Compared to others, this dormitory was a lot closer to campus, which made it all the more accessible. It was secure, as they took several different procedures to make sure that residents were safe and felt comfortable. From personal experience (I lived on the first floor) the noise was really the only problem that I can think of. Other than that, I was really happy as a resident.

Woodland Hall is a great experience while being at SIUe. I stayed at Woodland Hall an additional year because it was so close to campus. Because it is so close to campus, it allows you to leave close to your class time and get to your class on time. It is also so close to the Morris University Center that it is only a short walk, especially on cold winter days. Overall, inside the building was very nice, including the staff. We had many different decorations displayed in the lobby throughout the semester. As well as many activities. Both the rooms and on-suite bathrooms are well cleaned and very spacious. I would recommend Woodland hall to anyone who likes being very close to campus and is looking for more of a dorm life experience.

It has been very fun but sometimes it can be a little noisy. The staff is very approachable though, and I feel very safe. It is a little bit of a walk to the cafeteria and campus though. Our parking lot is also a little further away than it could be ideally. But those are just minor complaints, overall I think woodland is a great place to be.

It is a very clean and quiet dorm. There is plenty of space and storage in the rooms, and it is nice that we have access to a gym and study room. The academic halls are a short walk from Woodland and the parking lot is right next to the dorms.

Woodland Hall is a comfortable and safe environment to live in. The dorms are very nice, they include two beds, two dressers, and two desks. There is also a closet for the roommates to share. Overall Woodland is a nice adjustment from home to dorm life .
