Hill House Dorm Reviews at Sarah Lawrence

Of all the places to stay at on campus, I honestly think Hill House is one of the better ones. You have a full kitchen that you're able to use (big plus) and you get the experience of living in an "apartment" in NY. That being said it is the furthest dorm from main campus, and most of the time you're going to end up in either a double or a triple--which isn't ideal.

Living at Hill House was better than a lot of college experiences could be. I appreciated the apartment style living, which allowed me to have a kitchen and to avoid a communal bathroom. Parts of the floor are somewhat run down, though, and it can feel dirty at times.

Although Hill House was at the far end of campus it provided a nice excuse to wander campus and the kitchens in the apartments almost made it worth it! I think that Hill-2-Go made Hill House a destination and was the perfect addition to the dorm. The building is old and with no AC, the summers were absolutely brutal. 0/10 would recommend as summer housing. What a miserable experience. Thankfully the bid windows and wide hallways made for a fun dorm to decorate and the noise between apartments was never a problem! The elevators were fast and the stairways weren't too steep.

I liked it! It really just feels like living in a big Bronx apartment building. There's not really any staff per se, so you're kind of on your own. I was on the 4th floor, and never got cockroaches but i heard they popped up sometimes on the 1st floor. Also, everyone who lives in Hill House is crazy, but I thought it was fun. Also also, the grocery store is expensive but *mad* useful.
