Overall, my experience in McLoughlin Hall has been extremely positive. The views of the hills of Ashland Oregon are wonderful to awake to eachday. I have only lived in McLoughlin for a few weeks. However, I've also lived for a full year in the Shasta Hall. Both are similar in amenities outside Shasta being closer to the main parking lot and McLoughlin being closer to the Rec Center. Both are exceptionally quiet, (besides one particularly loud karaoke event), calm and welcoming spots. The Residents Assistants are intensely dedicated to organizing unique events that make each year memorable. My favorite was a JackBox Party Pack event. Other than that, the amenities on each floor are the same on both McLoughlin and Shasta. One small TV room, two small study rooms, three large study rooms (although they have a pretty bad echo), 4 laundry rooms, and 2 large TV rooms which holds many impromptu movie nights. It's been amazing living here even if for such a little time.
