Talge Hall Dorm Reviews at Southern

Talge Hall is the only mens dorm on the Southern Adventist University campus. however, the dorm can keep about 1600 kids in it. This is my first year in the dorm and I have been enjoying my time. In the basement there is a weight room, a rec room with tv's and Direct TV. The rooms are spacious enough to accomidate 2 people comfortably.

Having only this hall to live in on campus I did not have much of a choice, but it has and does what someone would need it to to have a successful year. The bathrooms are very nice, modern bathrooms with plenty of space, and the dorm rooms are spacious enough to comfortably have 2 people live there.

I have been living in the dorm for the past year. I have really enjoyed being on-campus and getting the dorm experience. I currently do not have another place to live so the dorm has been a huge blessing.

Talge is not that special. It's a cheap place to live. I need to be on campus and it gets the job done. Maintenance is slow and usually not very helpful. The showers do not have proper temperature control. Walls are thin.

Honestly, When I went there as a freshman, I thought it was fine. However, There is a huge difference between the old rooms and the newer rooms (the "500" halls). The older halls have communal restrooms, and the rooms are pretty small. Most people have to set it up as bunk beds. Kitchen is there, but definitely bare bones.
