Palmer Hall Dorm Reviews at Stevens

Palmer is often regarded as the worst dorm at Stevens, due to the fact that there are only bathrooms on the first floor, and it's a three-floor building. However, I believe that the university wants to install bathrooms on each floor in the future. I found my stay at Palmer to be barely tolerable, not an adjective you want when you're paying premium prices.

palmer hall was great because it offered singles which felt private. however, it was very old and the bathrooms are old. the location is great because it is middle to classes and dining hall. overall it is great because of the privacy. it does have a weird smell that lingers though. but if you make your room smell nice you won't really notice.

The doors are made to hold back fires a bit so are very loud when they close. This is a bit of a problem when your room is next to the stairs. Another issue is that the dorm building itself is very old. This has the issue of poor insulation from both hot and cold. Also during the more bug filled seasons expect to find either flies or even mosquitos in your room. It is a very centralized location, but ideally they get the new buildings finished quickly.
