Overall, my experience being a freshmen, Building K did it's job in giving me some independence and a sense of living on my own. However, it was a good walk away from main campus, but that was not a big deal for me. The only downside was that because it was so far away from main campus, it was not the safest at night. There was not much security at that end of the school and was pitch black due to lack of lighting. Also, the living situation was not the best. When I started, my in coming class was the largest the school has seen and was obviously not prepared for the amount of students needing housing. I was put into a room that was meant to house 2 people, but was turned into a 3-person dorm. It was very cramped and a fire hazard. I would recommend not doing that again for the safety of the students.
