Guinan Hall Dorm Reviews at St. Thomas

Guinan is modern and 'luxurious' compared to dorms at state colleges. Each dorm room has it's own bathroom that is not shared with an entire hallway - marble countertops! ResLife staff does the best they can with hosting different types of events and giving out free swag - remember it is a Catholic university, so they will not be giving out alcoholic drinks, party favors, etc.

It's a good alternative to commuting, the hall is located right along the university, and is about a 5 minute walk from the main academic halls. It's a great first experience, two to three roommates per room, with private bathrooms throughout the entire building.

My personal experience at the Guinan Hall has been a mostly positive one. While the dorms are clean, safe, and well-located, the price is ridiculously expensive and the staff can be unprofessional, rude, and act in way that seems they would only like to take money from the students. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, some students living the in the dorms are required to quarantine in their dorm room if they test positive. Due to this, the staff is required to bring food and any other necessities to the student which the staff does not do in many cases.
