Pacific Hall Dorm Reviews at TAMUG

My own space great roommate and freedom to clean or not to clean. My mother would be proud lol I enjoy the common areas. Wish we had to bathrooms tho. Sometime we all have to go at the same time. We take turn cleaning the kitchen and bathroom areas.

Pacific Hall is the best place to live on the Glaveston Campus. It is a nice building that is close to the main parts of the Galveston campus. The hall is upkept relatively well, aside from some minor issues. The laundry room is very nice and offers free services, just make sure not to leave laundry unattended for too long as people will move your stuff on busy days. The rooms are relatively nice and have common areas, but a few people I know had issues with mold due to the humid air of the island. The staff was helpful with those issues though. All in all, I really enjoyed my time there and would recommend to any incoming students.

Pacific Hall overall was not an amazing experience. There is mold in the dorms and you can hear through walls. The common area consist of one table stuffed by the entry way of the dorm room and there are no ceiling lights. The entire room consist of two windows resulting in no light for the rooms. Maintenance does try to accommodate you as well as they can, but they take a few days to check out the issue you request to be fixed. The location is probably the best part of the dorms, since it is closest to the cafe and classrooms.

Fairly new facility, clean, fantastic, and fun. Very walkable to all classes and comfortable for attending classes remotely during COVID. A couple of the study zones have great views of the bay. I am looking forward to spending at least another year at Pacific Hall.

It is a great place to interact with your peers and to enjoy your college experience. It is a very nice design with a super comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The people there are responsible yet laid back. Very enjoyable.
