Blanco Hall Dorm Reviews at Texas State

It was an amazing experience. Loved being close to the diner and on campus and it was around all the other popular downs so there was always interaction with other students. It’s also very good in size for 2 people and includes a personal bathroom

Blanco Hall is fun as i got to be with people who was the same skin color as me and it made the college experience better. I honestly would recommend to any incoming Freshmans that are minorities as you will enjoy it.

Overall, I wouldn’t say Blanco hall it self is a bad hall. I just believe the residents of the hall didn’t really care respect it. It was always loud at all hours and in our common area, such as the kitchen, it was left dirty. I just believe the Resident Assistants should have done a better job at enforcing order in the hall.

I made several friends living in Blanco Hall. I enjoyed the laundry room being so close and I love how everyone gets to know everyone. I think living there was the easiest way to make friends. I do believe that these are the best dorms on campus.

Blanco Hall is a great dorm. It is right next to the student rec center and directly across the street from a dinning hall. It's well kept, on the more affordable side, and you have a personal bathroom you share with your roommate. The only down side to Blanco Hall is it is on the outskirts of campus so somethings are a bit far to walk to, but other than that it's great.

My experience so far has been okay. If you have someone above you, the stomping can be a little much. The hall itself kind of smells but it isn't horrible. The hall is on the edge of campus so if you are walking to classes, it is going to be a far walk. The dorms have their own bathroom so you do not have to worry about a community bathroom which is nice. The rooms are somewhat spacious for two people.

I chose to live at Blanco Hall because I wanted to have my own bathroom in my room especially being female, I didn't feel comfortable sharing a bathroom or having to walk out of my room to shower and get ready. It definitely is nice and convenient and the room is very spacious if you rearrange the beds. I really love living here and it's for sure made my college experience way better. All I can say is if you don't like not being in the middle of campus that's the only downfall but everything is still a 15 minute walk away which isn't bad at all.

I enjoy how their is a restroom in the room and that it is not a community restroom. The hall overall is very clean and no noises that interrupt at any time The downside is that it is about a 15 minute walk to the center of the university.

My experience at blanco hall was both amazing and challenging at the sme time. Amazing because of the ample amount of space including an in room bathroom and challenging because of the long walk to various classes around campus. Overall my experience at blanco hall was a great one and I would recommend it for any incoming freshman

I've had a great experience while living at Blanco Hall. There is usually not a lot of noise, which is great because students need to be able to concentrate when when studying in their dorms. The staff is always very helpful and sweet, which is very appreciated. I would recommend this dorm to other students looking for a place to live on-campus.

Dorm is old, but safe. There are automatic locks that require residents to swipe ID cards to get in. It's located on the outskirts of campus so classes are a pretty far walk and the closest eating hall has hit or miss food. The only perk is you'll have your own bathroom.

I met so many amazing people at this hall! It’s one of the more affordable options (at least at the times) and it has private bathrooms so you don’t have to use the community options in other dormitories. It’s great for students who have classes in the art and FCS buildings, and for those who like to work out at the rec, but for students who have classes on the other side of campus, it could get tedious. Luckily, there’s a shuttle nearby.

I loved my stay at Blanco Hall, it was far from my classes so I had a long walk but it was close to the Rec center and Harris Dinning Hall which I loved. My bathroom had stained tiles that made it look dirty but the sink and mirror area was nice!

Blanco Hall is a very nice dorm hall, and each room has its own bathroom. There is easy access to laundry rooms and kitchens. Harris Dining Hall is conveniently located right next to the dorm hall. Overall it is a great hall with a very friendly staff.
