Jackson Hall Dorm Reviews at Texas State

Everyone at Jackson Hall is super friendly however it is an old building so I would say that's one of the downsides. The ra's are all nice and even the maintenance crew. I would say it depends on your floor about noise, my floor can be quite but it usually has it's moments. You can hear everything from the rooms just a heads up.

Very small rooms that you have to share. Concerning how many people have to share 4 toilets and 4 showers. One community kitchen. and Laundry is in the basement of a 11 floor building. Overall would not recommend to others.

Small rooms but the location is good. It is not the nicest dorm on campus but it worked for me. Not great but nothing to really complain about. Seemed like average dorm life. Bathrooms were kept clean.

Jackson Hall was very close to the main building on campus where it had chick-fil-a, star bucks, and much more options to choose from. Jack hall also had various places to study and just get out of the room you live in. There are also tables near by outside where I would get to call my parents and talk for however long. Another plus is that the parking lot is very close and the parking garage is near as well so parking was never the issue. All in all, Jackson is one of the cheapest and best dorm you could get at Texas State!

Great! The dorm is co-ed and i have a lot of great memories living there my freshman year. The room was tiny but my roomate was never there so i had it to myself. It isnt the prettiest but it was the cheapest so yeah. Only downside is having the community bathroom but in a way i liked the experience because i met other people on the floor!

I really enjoyed my time at Jackson Hall. It is in the perfect area of campus and as soon as you walk out the back door you are directly at LBJ and are located in the main area of campus. The staff is very friendly and I had no issue with the maintenance.

Jackson Hall was decent, and quiet. The only problems I had were that the bathroom showers were usually dirty. There was always hair in there and there wasn’t hot water for the sinks. Other than that, I had s good experience.

Jackson Hall is a great dorm for a college student to start at. It is right next to everything, the student center, the health department, the library, and all the dining halls. I'm living there next year as well.

Jackson Hall was my first dorm experience as a freshman at Texas State. I liked how it was in the center of campus, but it wouldn't be my first choice to live in. The bathrooms were fairly clean, but there was always hair in the showers. It was very quiet and I could easily get work done without any distractions. I personally had a good experience dorming there,

I would definitely recommend staying in Jackson Hall at Texas State University. The rooms are decently sized with plenty of room for belongings. There is a study area, a movie room, and a lounge downstairs, which serve as great rooms to do homework or just hang out with friends. The residence hall itself is in the middle of campus, so its location makes it very convenient for going to classes or getting lunch. The busses also stop right outside Jackson Hall, which makes it really easy and convenient to commute between places.

My favorite thing about Jackson Hall is its location. It's right next to the LBJ Student Center, about 5 minutes from the library (depending on how fast you walk), and not much farther are Jones Dining Center and Commons Dining Hall. Though it definitely isn't the nicest or most updated dorm, it is worth the price.

I enjoyed my experience at Jackson Hall. Although it was not my traditional way of living and sharing a bathroom with a whole floor of girls. I had a wonderful RA and met many new friends as a freshman at. It was close to my classes as well as dining halls, which made it very convenient as a freshman.
