Smith Hall Dorm Reviews at Texas State

I lived at Smith Hall for the whole duration of my freshman year. The RA's were amazing, but the living situation was horrible in my opinion. It was always very humid inside the dorm hall through out the whole year. The bathroom doors weren't allowed to be shut and there was a lot of mold all throughout the entire dorm. I make sure every incoming freshman I know makes sure not to pick that hall.

I loved the people in the hall itself everyone got along and actually showed up to the hall events. Made lots of friends that way. Only downside is we used communal bathrooms and some people donβt know how to keep the space clean.

Mostly good! There were some plumbing issues that got fixed pretty quickly, but the RAs are amazing! And the location is also amazing! Itβs so close to the LBH Student Center! Itβs very easy to navigate campus from this dorm.

It is a great hall with a close location to the Student Center and Library! Because of COVID, I'm not exactly sure how it functioned at full capacity, but with several rooms empty, the noise level is rarely an issue and I've never had to wait for a bathroom stall. There is also a ton of parking for the residents' convenience.
