New Freshman Residence Hall Dorm Reviews at UAB

I enjoyed my time in the NFD. They were also very clean and open. They had the bigger laundry room in comparison to the other dorms. And the bathrooms are a decent size. My floor was about a 5/6 in terms of how nosey it got. My RA was very nice, and she always left nice notes and goodies on my door. The elevators didn't give us any issues either. NFD was one of the closer dorms to the cafeteria. Also I loved the fact that they offer those large rolling bins when students were moving in and out of the dorms.

I had the opportunity of living on a Honor's floor, so it was much quieter than the other floors. I did live beside the common area, so it could get very loud at times. Maintenance was very hard to get ahold of, but everything was very clean.

My experience at the new freshman dorm was amazing. With it being my first time staying in a dorm I really enjoyed it. I never had a problem and I even had my own bathroom. The staff was amazing and always greeted us and encouraged us. They stay active with us students and showed us many opportunities. I was an great example for my freshman year.
