University Commons Dorm Reviews at UCO

I stayed in the Fall semester of 2021. Overall, it was a great place to live. It was right next to the library and the parking lot for the football field, so parking wasn't an issue. The RAs were great and very helpful. The maintainance staff also fixed any problem my roommates or I had in a timely manner.

The University Commons is a great place to live in. The amenities are great, there is privacy for everyone. The bathrooms are very clean and convenient to use. There is a kitchen, as well as a room with a washer and a dryer.

I lived in the Commons for 2 years as a Resident Assistant for Housing. Honestly, I had some of my best memories there. From spending time with my amazing roommate, watching movies with my friends, multiple hours studying, hosting events for my residents, and growing as a person There were times when I wouldn't say I liked the noise from the apartment above me, but I never had any problematic issues. The maintenance staff was incredible and would try to help as much as possible when needed.

It is a mixed bag really. On one hand, there is the convienence being close to the library, 7-11, the sports facilities, and the campus gym. The other hand, it can have some neighbors that can be annoying at times.

I have lived in the commons for 2 years now and both years I had issues about my safety. This year I was actually relocated because I was threatened at knife point by a person who wasn't even living in my room.

I love my apartment. It provides privacy, while also allowing me to build friendships with my apartment-mates. The location on campus is perfect. The parking is good. Overall, I think University Commons is a great place to live while going to school.
