West Hall Dorm Reviews at UCO

Gross and horrible communal bathrooms. Wish I could live anywhere but here, but my scholarship won't allow it. The layout of the floors is confusing, the halls always smell musty, and two hallways have to share two washers and three dryers. Murdaugh Hall is worse tho.

Overall West Hall was a decent dorm. My biggest issues with it were the bathrooms. They often were extremely dirty and the showers were frequently clogged. The hall director for this dorm was horrible and never answered emails when I had questions.

There were many friendly people. The building stays very nice and tidy. Uco manages to make sure nothing gets too dirty. Although some have bad communal bathrooms UCPO manages to keep theirs as clean as possible. The community also has many games, TVs, and pool tables, things to keep students active and high-spirited. The rooms are very spacious and although you may share it with someone else, it still feels like home.

Overall, the building is old, but is kept as clean as it can be. For the most part, the noise level is good, although there is some late night racket sometimes, but usually just on the weekends. The location is good, and is in reasonable walking distance to everywhere on campus.

There's really not anything special about west hall.. it's very basic compared to the other halls on campus. This hall is affordable and close to other buildings and right next to Ayers (the cafeteria building).

My RA was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I appreciated the added security provided by the fact that the hall bathroom was kept locked to nonresidents. West hall hosted many fun events last semester, including a bleach tie dye night. It was a great way to meet new people at the beginning of the semester while still being socially distanced.

I currently have my own room and really enjoy the piece the peace and quiet. This allows me to have time to focus on work and other activities while living quite comfortably. I would highly recommend all housing members to consider the option of living in West Hall.

I lived in West Hall for my freshman year of college. Other than the restrooms being a little bit dirty, I had a great experience. It was super convenient to live on campus and be close to all of my classes. There are a ton of events set in place on a weekly basis where you can interact with other residents in the dorm. My RA was very communicative and accommodating to all of the residents in the hall.

I have made some great friends in West Hall and I am so happy that I decided to make this my home for the 2020-2021 semesters. I was very hesitant about moving into a dorm since I am a sophomore but it has been a great experience.

West Hall was a pretty decent dorm to live in. It wasn't glamorous but it wasn't terrible either. There are communal bathrooms but are pretty big so sharing with the other residents wasn't so bad. The dorm room itself was spacious for a dorm and had a ton of storage. It had more storage than my 4 bedroom house has.
