Asante Hall

Asante Hall in UC San Diego is in a beautiful location since the beach is a few blocks away from the dorm. Asante Hall is extremely clean since every week a Maintenace staff cleans the dorm's kitchen, living room, bathrooms, and inspects if everything is working properly. There is always security walking around outside to provide safety and comfort to everyone. I had no trouble living in Asante Hall my first year at UCSD and I will live there again this year. more

Here in the Catalyst, we have the best experience with being able to experience both the safety and ease of getting to classes and we have some of the best eating areas. Being in the central hub of the school has its perks. more

Marshall Lower Apartments

Living in the Marshall Lower apartments was definitely better than the residence hall in that it is quieter, cleaner, and genuinely nicer as you live with fewer people. Any maintenance problems I had were resolved quickly. The location is also convenient as it is in the middle of campus. The only thing I would complain about is how expensive dorms were. more

Marshall Upper Apartments

This is a nice area where there is peace and quiet. My time was a very pleasant one. I stayed in a triple-room, but even for a triple-room it is quite spacious. I stayed there during my sophomore year and will continue to dorm there my junior and maybe my senior year. more

I had a good time living at this residence. The dorms are very quiet and there are many amenities such as kitchen appliances and a laundry room. Students may appreciate adding more single rooms however. more

Thurgood Marshall College Residence Halls

Living at the Marshall residence halls was a very good experience. It is located in a really good place at UCSD, it’s close enough to the main areas where a lot of basic classes are hosted, but far enough that when needed it’s quiet. Any staff that came in to clean the halls that I came across were always very attentive, helpful and super nice. more
