Brumby Hall Dorm Reviews at UGA

Brumby is a dorm that holds about 1000 students and is only about an 8 minute walk from two of the dining halls. Staff keeps the bathrooms and halls very clean. There's many study rooms and we have great access to washers and dryers. The staff is very friendly and the building is very safe.

Because I had registered for housing later than most of my peers, I was assigned "supplemental housing" where I was going to be put in a room that was not originally supposed to be a dorm with 3-4 other people. A few weeks before school started, I got placed in Brumby and it was really nice and my random roommate was an angel!

The dorms are small compared to the others on campus, but it makes up with the fact that it is renovated and very clean. There are lots of study rooms available that are the perfect size to study alone. The kitchen is always clean and very big as well. The staff is very nice and does a good job of cleaning. The only downside is that they are very strict about having visitors (compared to every other housing on campus) and have yet to fix a water fountain that broke several months ago.

My experience at Brumby Hall has been different due to COVID-19, however it has been very pleasant. There are plenty of study rooms and spaces to go to work on group projects, and the rotunda is great! I do wish we had a bit more space in the rooms like other dorms at UGA but the furniture is very nice and useful!

I would say my experience at Brumby Hall has felt very safe and like a home away from home. As a student who lives 4 hours away from UGA, I was nervous about living in a dorm at first. I had never used a communal bathroom or shared such a close living space with someone else. However, my anxiety went away immediately after moving in. Within the first two days, I had met so many people that were just like me. Each of us were just as excited and nervous as the other. The staff really helped with easing move-in complications and any hardships after that. I would say Brumby Hall is an amazing living space with great staff members to help out all times.

Brumby Hall is a great dorm with new renovations that make it stand out. All of the staff are so caring about their residents and willing to help at any given moment. It has been a great experience, especially for a freshman.

For the most part, it was a very social environment to start your freshman year. The bathrooms were not the most up to date, but tended to be fairly clean. The room size was average with fairly large closets.
