Catlett Hall Dorm Reviews at University of Iowa

I loved Catlett! People always call it a hotel, but I loved it. The friends I made on my floor are still my best friends to this day. The bathrooms are pod style which was amazing. A few times they weren't getting cleaned and people left them dirty, but overall, amazing experience!

I loved living in Catlett more than anything in the world. It was a good location, it was like living in a hotel, and the dining hall was also really nice. The rooms are big and the beds are nice, the lounges are great, and everyone who works there is super nice.

Catlett felt like a hotel but was safe, clean, and in a great location! Some neighbors were often loud but overall nice and respectful. The staff was all great, never had a problem with maintenance or front desk staff.

I really loved living in Catlett because it was right in the middle of campus, it was close to all of my classes, and it had a dining hall in it. I was on the 11th floor so taking the elevator was my only choice, but it was a good way to get exercise if I walked up that day. I had many friends who were in this dorm and that is why I chose it. I love the study areas and the dining hall. Overall, I had a really great experience here!

Catlett Hall made for a very exciting freshman year experience. The space was clean and the staff were helpful with any questions I had. The common areas on each floor made it easy to connect with those who lived near me, and helped form many of my friendships! I also thoroughly enjoyed the marketplace, the food was very good. I recommended this dorm to a few high school friends who will be attending the University of Iowa.

Catlett was a quiet dorm and overall a decent experience. It is way overpriced though. The residents did not have any regard for others, bathrooms were constantly messy right after custodians cleaned them.

Good dorm overall. The location was inconvenient when traveling to westside, otherwise it was prime. Generally clean with a nice open structure in common areas that include all windows for a nice and naturally lit, productive workspace.

I love living in Catlett, the location is perfect and the rooms are so nice. I feel so at home when I am here. I also love the updated appliances and pod style bathrooms. Each room has a sink and mirror which is much appreciated.

I had a great time in Catlett for my first semester. I had to spend a lot of time in there due to covid and it was very enjoyable. I loved having pod style bathrooms and having a dining hall right downstairs. I also had to quarantine in there when I got covid, and they handled the situation very well.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first semester in Catlett and am looking forward to my next semester. The people were all amazing, from the people who lived near me, to my RA, to the workers in the dining hall. The hall almost gives off a hotel vibe, which I don't mind and do like. It is super convenient to have a dining only several floors down from my dorm isntead of having to walk somewhere else everyday. My main complaint would be that they close our dining hall on the weekend so we have to go to Burge. It isn't far but it would be nicer to just have our dining hall remain open.

I lived in Catlett the first year it opened. It felt like I was living in a hotel. The Pod Style bathrooms were especially positive for me and I never found myself having to wait to use the restroom. Would highly recommend it.

Catlett is a great residence hall, one I would definitely recommend to friends. I love the pod-style bathrooms, and the rooms, although small, are very nice. My only complaint would be the price, which rounds out to around $900 per month, per roommate, not including food (very pricey). Overall, great dorm.

I loved Catlett. This is where I met some of my best friends and it was mostly freshman and so we were all going through this together. It was always very clean and I never had any issues! The RA was super nice and you got to know the staff so they were always super nice as well.
