Woodland Glen V Dorm Reviews at UK

Was very good but not good common areas to just hang out in. We pretty much only had the study rooms aside from a few chairs outside the elevators. People also were bad at keeping the kitchen clean, there was always dirty dishes in the sinks. I do know that it is MUCH better than other schools.

Glen V is home to the IHRC LLP at UK, so it's always got people looking to talk and study in equal amounts. Everyone is really nice and helpful. It's on the end of campus with the majority of the science buildings which is useful, as well as near the Honors College building. It's also close to Kroger and the Johnson Center (gym).

I was only at Woodland Glen for a semester due to the COVID-19 outbreak, however to me it was as close to a perfect fit as a dorm can get. Woodland Glen V is specifically tailored to students pursuing careers in the medical/healthcare field, so living there gave me the opportunity to create lasting bonds with a small group of students who had similar interests. On top of this, the dorms are quite spacious and well kept by the staff and students - you will very rarely see a student complaining about the quality and time it takes to fix broken sinks or showers. Woodland Glen V is also located next to a quite student neighborhood and offers well lit sidewalks and streets. I have never felt unsafe walking around day or night with the amount of lighting and blue light systems in place.

Overall, I loved Woodland Glenn V. The dorm as a whole was small, which made us all a really close knit group of individuals. The study rooms were nice and quiet and I LOVED seeing people in the community kitchen! Everyone was so kind and the RA's were so helpful:)

I am very satisfied with my residency at Woodland Glen 5 for multiple reasons. Primarily, I adore the dorm types. Each student gets a private bedroom. This allows for each roommate freedom to do anything such as eat, sleep, study, or have friends over, all without disturbing the other roommate. Additionally, there are shared spaces with the other roommate which includes a full bathroom, a vanity with separate sinks, a mini fridge, a kitchen table, a kitchen sink, and countertop space. These spaces greatly improve the college experience by giving privacy in the bathroom, and freedom to cook. Everything in the dorms is new and stylish. This includes wooden flooring, granite countertops, a full size bed, and nice appliances. Having a beautiful dorm gives students pride in taking care of it and having a nice and spacious room is much less depressing than an old and tiny shared dorm. Furthermore, the lobby area is well kept and a great place to spend time with friends. There are also elevators, study rooms, a laundry room, mailboxes, and classrooms all within the dorm building. This makes daily chores very accessible. All of these amenities improve my surroundings and make me feel happy to be there.

While I enjoyed my stay, I felt that the staff was unfair. I actually had multiple meetings with the student services in order to try to alleviate the situation but was recommended to move out. I did so and have had a much easier and less stressful day to day experience living off campus.

I love staying here, the best part of school so far has been the dorms! Both me and my roommate have our own private bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower in our room. The room also includes 3 sinks and plenty of cabinet and countertop space.

It has been really good so far! The cleanliness and safety have been above my satisfaction and everybody there is extremely nice. However, the location is a bit weird and there is only one small area for laundry, so most of the washing machines and dryers are usually taken up.

This year with Covid-19, we are only allowed visitors from our dorm. I have one roommate and we have been isolated but I understand it’s for our safety. The community areas and laundry area are safe. I feel very secure in this building.

I have loved my experience living here. Being so close to all of my classes and especially being closer to where I park my car, it has been a very good experience. The dorm is beautiful and there is plenty of space in the dorm.

This is currently the Healthcare Living Learning Program (LLP) and it can help you prepare for the healthcare major you plan on entering. With a pandemic going on, it hasn’t been as fun; however, the location of where it’s at is very nice
