Union at Dearborn Dorm Reviews at U of M-Dearborn

To be perfectly honest, my experience at the Union doesn't really feel worth the ~900 dollars a month that you pay to live here, when everything is run down and maintenance takes around two weeks to respond to... any request, really? I had a broken, black mold filled air conditioner, and filed like three maintenance requests and they still took like a week to do anything.

I have very much enjoyed living here. My favorite part is how involved they are with all the residents. Before the pandemic they had movie nights, game nights, provided meals and many more. The rooms are fairly new so everything is in great shape.

The Union at Dearborn is overpriced, generally in a area with a lot of litter (no cigarette receptacles, lousy trash management, type of people in general), it has noisy neighbors, no roommate pairing system, it's by a major road and mall, While it is close to the school, the location is dull and ugly. Everything in your dorm and the building looks generic and boring. Furniture is not comfortable, feels like cheap polyester and plastic.
