Olive Hall Dorm Reviews at UNA

I lived in Olive Hall in 2022. It was one of the better dorms at the time. The only downsides are the occasional fire alarms and small size of each dorm room. If you are someone that needs space, then this is not the place for you. Each dormitory is one small room with two beds and two desks and a small bathroom. However, I do think Olive Hall is a great and affordable place for freshmen to live and meet their classmates. It is also one of the closest dorms to campus.

I lived there my freshman year. Loved it for the most part, only part that sucks is not having a kitchen, well that plus that is where the majority of freshman live and the fire alarms go off at least once a week.

My experience at olive hall has been amazing! The noise is really the only issue but with being in a freshman only building it was honestly something I expected. The rooms are good sized and laid out well, the staff is always friendly, and the commons areas are great its where I see most people spend their time especially at night.

Living in the residence hall was one of the best experiences of freshman year. As an out of state student, who barely knew anyone, it was a great way to meet people and make new friends. I highly encourage anyone and everyone to live at least one year in a residence hall!

Freshman co-ed dorm. Has its loud and quiet moments as expected. Sometimes the temperature is hot or cold and residents do not have much control over the temp. I suggest bringing a fan. Each room has a private bathroom.

My experience at Olive Hall as a freshman is during a pandemic so it’s not the norm but it’s been pleasant for the most part. The RA’s are over the top and that puts a damper on the experience but the dorm itself is slightly above average.

Olive Hall has been a great freshman dorm, my biggest complaint is the fact that washers seem to break constantly, which is of course not UNA's fault but can be very frustrating at times. All in all it is an amazing dorm with amazing RA's.

My experience at Olive has been great it’s so quiet. That’s a plus for me because I do my best work when it quiet and no distractions. Even though it’s in the basement I’m telling you that you will love it.

Short but over all a good dorm. I did not live there long and was a beautiful dorm. Brand new appliances, but the maintenance team did not work on the appliances when needed. The bathrooms were ok, could have used a thorough cleaning every now and then.

Olive Hall is a nice and quiet building, besides the building standing on the outskirts of the university and it being in a hole, it is nice. The building itself is maintained very well. I feel very safe walking to and from my dorm daily. The RA's are very good at making it feel safe as well. I would recommend this dormitory to any incoming freshmen that wants their own bathroom and wants to reside in a newer building.
