The location is only beaten by Old East and Old West, but not by much. Grimes and its three neighboring dorms are centrally located, not a three-minute walk from the Union, Lenoir Dining Hall, and Davis Library, and still not terribly far from Franklin Street. Grimes' only special commodity is a pool table, but other buildings in the community (which residents can go between as they please) offer a piano, an air-hockey table, and even a so-called "gourmet" kitchen complete with glass-top stoves. The community also includes Old East and Old West, the universities oldest buildings.
