Holshouser Hall Dorm Reviews at UNC Charlotte

I was put in a study room with two other girls, and at first I was skeptical but there was more than enough space for us all. We call had our own space and was even able to add a mini fridge. The location was right across from the dining hall and near other residence halls. Our RA was very nice and we almost always had someone at the desk downstairs. We also had a patrol officer on duty during the later times of the night. I would have loved to stay in that particular housing for ever. Our kitchen and bathrooms were always cleaned. We had a lounge area on every floor with microwaves , couches, tables, and a television.

While the rooms in Holshouser aren't the biggest as the other dorms on campus. Being in South Village definitely has it advantages as you are right next to Sovi and not to far from the student union and the rec center. If you're still looking for a social environment you shouldn't have a problem as people from the surrounding dorms are always outside on the courtyard.

My experience at Holshouser has been nice. I like the building location and I love the floor that I live on. I have a nice view of the campus and the lounge areas to study are nice to have in the building if I don't feel like walking all the way to the library or another study area. The only thing is I wish the people in my building talked more to each other. Sometimes it can get lonely or even boring, but other than that I enjoy living in Holshouser.
