I've really enjoyed it because since there are 9 floors you get to run into all types of different people who could potentially become friends with. Also if you are a music/dance major it's perfect because the distance to the music and dance building is great and there are practice rooms in the residence hall.

Hi, I’m Jordan Harrington and I stayed in Cone Residence Hall when I was a freshman and I love how it was kinda like a Residence Hall for students that were involved in the arts. Whether it was Dance, Music, Theater, Instruments etc. This Hall definitely gave a welcoming to students involved with arts that’s why I picked this Hall as a place I was going to experience my first year of college. But my overall experience in cone was great I lived on the 2nd floor and it was a quiet hall that was co Ed so if you’re a male your next door neighbor could’ve been females. The bathrooms were always clean and everyone was friendly. Downstairs in the basement was were the kitchen and washer and dryers were, the kitchen is huge and the washer and dryers were first come first serve. With my experience living in this dormitory I did feel like the common areas should have been a little bit bigger but I loved how the 2nd floor was dedicated with rooms with pianos and sound rooms were students could practice there music. I also loved how they had a dance studio in the building on the main floor but it was always locked because students didn’t know how to accommodate others. With all the stuff that goes on at UNCG I did feel like I had a place to call home and Cone Residence Hall was a place that I could call home.

Pleasant, but the actual space of the dorms are small, but the connections with others made there are memorable. Bathrooms are in a separate portion and not built into the dorms, so bring a towel and robe for the walk back to your dorm.

I was skeptical at first because while the practice rooms with pianos and several common areas were mainly why I picked this hall, I was worried that it would be too loud. I stayed there my freshman year and it was so much fun. The common areas and music rooms were a great way to meet new people and make friends during my first year of college. The bathrooms are almost always perfect. The common area in the basement constantly had millipedes but... you get used to them. The elevator was constantly needing maintenance but other than that, I would recommend it to upcoming freshmen.

The Residential Advisors have all been very nice, and the building is fairly clean. They clean the common areas often and laundry is free. The rooms are fairly spacious, and come with a bed, desk, desk chair, dresser, and have windows that can be opened.

The Cone Residence Hall has felt like a safe home to me. The faculty is polite, the students are great, and the building is satisfying in many ways that benefit me. I am having so much fun living there and I appreciate the workers of the building for making it feel like home.
