Nye Hall Dorm Reviews at Nevada

My experience at Nye hall has been amazing. Some people hate it since their is no ac but that doesnt really matter. Overall my experience with Nye hall I have loved. I will be living in Nye hall most likely all four years of my college experience. Everyone in Nye Hall is super friendly.

It’s embodiment of the freshman experience. Nothing negative to say about it, overall a great place to live as a freshman. People are great, environment is great, bathrooms are clean. If you can deal with no ac than this is the perfect place for you.

Too many people who like to drink and party. The entire floor smelled like Marijuana. Bathroom toilet & showers full of puke on Friday & Saturday nights from all the drunk kids. Full of young self entitled assholes who do not care about their neighbors.

Here in Nye Hall, it's more than just a residence hall it is a community with everyone being friendly and open Everyone can feel at home no matter who they are. With the hall being regularly cleaned and the students taking care of their trash the hall itself is spotless.

Nye Hall is good for people who don't mind never having privacy. It was hard for me because my roommate was always in and out and I never knew if I had to put my headphones in or if I could take a nap uninterrupted. The doors have fire doors that are heavy and slam shut if you don't stop it before it closes, so that was really annoying when I felt like I was the only one who stopped it. If you have an inconsiderate roommate, than your time in Nye Hall will be unpleasant (speaking from experience). The hallways and bathrooms are always clean, but the elevator may be haunted.

NYE hall was generally very quiet and clean. The staff at the front door were always very friendly and nice to talk to. The bathrooms are communal so that could be a negative for some people. Rooms are all doubles.
