Harnwell College House Dorm Reviews at Penn

I live on the 17th floor of Harnwell house with an amazing view of the Philadelphia skyline. However, for 24 floors, there are only 4 elevators and students often wait upwards of 15 minutes to reach the lobby. The rooms are spacious and clean, but the bathroom, however, is very small and inefficient such that one of my suite mates cannot shower while the other uses the toilet at the same time. We did have a lot of safety instruction during orientation week about the sprinkler systems, the smoke detectors, and the security staff in the lobby only allowing Penn affiliates further access.

Harnwell has truly been a home at Penn for me during both my sophomore and junior year--the people that work in Harnwell are extremely welcoming if there is anything student need and are always hosting a fun event either in the building or out in the city of Philadelphia.

Loved living here. Great location on campus. Nice and clean on campus housing. College dorm was quiet. Has great study areas and is a very well maintained. Dorm rooms are peaceful. Elevators to get to the rooms.

I enjoyed living here. I formed part of a residential program, which made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend taking a look at Harnwell for those looking at forming options as an upperclassman.

It was a very nice experience. The entire building was always well kept and clean. You can't really here what's going on in other rooms which was a plus. The bathrooms were a bit small but enough space for everything you'll need.
