North Complex Dorm Reviews at South Dakota

North Complex is a great place for freshmen to get their "dorm experience". Rooming with a stranger or friend, you'll get the luxury of sharing a small space with someone, which includes the following; being cautious of when you have the light on, not knowing if your roommate is awake or asleep on their bunk, not knowing when you or your roommate will be having company so you always have to have a bra on, and you'll always be wondering if your roommate is going through your things. sometimes you'll be lucky enough to get your own room if your roommate moves out, or you move out. But that doesn't take away the fact that the bathroom are horrendous. North Complex is a VERY old building. Thousands of people have lived there and the bathrooms are old and crusty. they're manageable, but if I had to describe them, they remind me of the shower houses/bathrooms at a camp ground. Don't forget your shower shoes! Also, if you need assistance from staff or RAs, don't expect anything from them within a 24 hour period.

My experience living in North Complex has been great. The staff and RAs are excellent and are always helpful. It is always cleaned regularly and everything is in excellent condition. I would recommend bringing items to make it feel cozy and like home.

I really enjoyed living in North Complex at USD. The staff and RA's are very friendly and willing to help you with anything you need. This is a great place to make friends and get to know other students on campus. North Complex is close to the MUC and all other buildings you may need to walk to for class. Based off of my experience, I would recommend living in North Complex at USD.

These are the freshman dorms so you can expect it to be somewhat juvenile. There will be people screaming and laughing in the hallways but you learn to get used to it and just put in headphones or ignore it.

The walls are pretty thin and the few students who ignore quiet hours (10 pm - 10 am) are pretty annoying and some forget to actually wash their used dishes in the kitchenette, but otherwise, there really isn't all that much to complain about. Well, besides the somewhat limited warm water supply for taking showers in the community shower areas of the bathrooms. But, I like it. It's nice enough to suit my needs.
