Beacon Hall Dorm Reviews at USF

It was very clean and well maintained but also very new when I was a resident. RA's and their supervisors were seen often but were hardly sociable or active in the students' lives or studies. The common area was welcoming and often had students hanging out and socializing, almost as much as Summit Hall with its ping pong table.

I lived in Beacon Hall my sophomore year of college and it was the best. The whole space was nice and clean. Every Friday cleaning services would come in and clean our bathroom for us. The noise level was never loud. Everyone kept to themselves and went on with their day. I would recommend this building to anyone looking for housing sophomore year.

I have a private bathroom in my dorm and it is maintained very well. I can hear noise through the walls but it is mostly easy to ignore. Most spaces are kept clean and are cleaned weekly. There are events hosted by the RAs in Beacon in order to get people involved as well.

It feels like it's right in the center of dorm life and isn't too far of a walk from my classes! Its really convenient and nice. Its far enough away from the classes to feel like you're not at school, but close enough where you don't have to drive everyday

I live in a suite style room, which means my dorm has an attached bathroom. I've heard mixed things about the communal bathrooms (at least on my floor), so that's an important consideration. Beacon in general is in a really nice spot, right next to the sidewalk up to the MSC and next door to the Hub. I'm definitely biased, but Beacon is a really good option for first-years, whether you choose a suite style or traditional room.

It's clean and it's quiet. I would recommend dorming here because the dining hall and the gym is right next to the residence hall and the convenience is really nice. Everything is really modern and it just makes me happy.

It is right in the middle of the village, so there are a lot of things to do in the area. It is right next to the Hub which is a dining place. A lot of people hangout in this area during the afternoon.

It was decent experience. It was a brand new dorm, which was nice but it was always messy. The bathrooms were barely cleaned and the elevators were always broken. There would also be random trash on the floor of the hallways. If you are concerned about cleanliness I woul not recommend.
